Dear friends and friends of my work,
This Christmas season you might have noticed that we haven’t sent any Christmas cards. Instead we have given the equivalent of our annual Christmas card postage expenditure to the Children’s Medical Research Institute in Westmead. Incredible work is being done by these people that will benefit generations to come. Every child should have a healthy life as their birth right. So to anyone on this list, we haven’t forgotten you even though you won’t get a card from us.
Although 2009 has been a rather quiet year in my studio due to changes in family dynamics, the lack of sleep and time as well as the destructive curiosity of a one year old, prepare for a massive 2010. Some great projects and exhibitions are planned including an exhibition of about 60 close-up faces on 40x40cm canvasses by Portrait Artists Australia, showing in March at the MLC Gallery on Harris St in Ultimo (Sydney), as well as an exhibition of nude portraits – yes you heard right at the Arthouse Hotel in October by the same acclaimed artist group.
With this short message I will leave you for this year and wish you a very Merry Christmas, peace, love and happiness as well as a creative, successful, amazing 2010.
