Bursting with pride for my girl @maialonghurst who

Bursting with pride for my girl @maialonghurst who’s film “There’s so much I could write Poetry about” which she co-directed, designed and animated was just shortlisted for the Brisbane International Film Festival @bnefilmfest in the category for Best Australian Short Film.

She says: “This film is adapted from the poem by Yassmin Abdel-Magied @yassmin_a , and I’m so incredibly grateful to the amazing team I worked with to bring this film to life—Chan-Li Hoang, Vanessa Liu, Kaylee Liu, Christen Marcelo

We are honoured to be screening alongside the feature film “All We Imagine As Light”, which is India’s first film to be selected at the Cannes Film Festival in over 30 years.”

🌟 At 5.4m, “Ode to Feminism” is one of the largest works I’ve ever created. Painted in 2018, it now resides in the esteemed Bennett Collection of Stephen Bennett and Dr. Elaine Schmidt.
